He found it lost at the bus station and took it to the motel. Every bus terminal has this: people asking for money for tickets, luggage thieves and, of course, lost people. They come from another city, plan to meet relatives but end up stranded, with nowhere to go. The new one was one of those cases and was found by the naughty guy, who noticed everything straight away when he looked at him disconsolately with the suitcase. After an hour of conversation, he bought lunch for the kid and invited him to go to the motel to have some fun. He thought and accepted. He really had nothing to lose and gave himself over to the news.
